Lani and Glenn were married August 1, 1981 in Los Angeles, California.

Moving to Dallas, Texas in 1984, and then to Houston in 1998, they continue to reside in the Lone Star State and are considered Naturalized Texans.

The Ropiequet family includes a dog, Theo, and LosaBelle, a Diva cat. Both animals show flashes of brilliance, exuberance and extreme selfishness. One individual commented that if there was such a thing as reincarnation, he wanted to come back as one of Lani and Glenn’s pets. This may have already happened. After all, read LosaBelle’s movie reviews and you can almost detect the caustic wit of Dorothy Parker. And from what we know of Ms. Parker, the likeness in LosaBelle is uncanny.

Lani works for GEMSA Loan Services, an almost $76B Commercial Real Estate servicing group. She is Managing Director of the Facilities Servicing business development. An obsessed participant in Bikram yoga, Lani is also a cycling fiend. The annual MS150 ride from Houston to Austin happens in April and training starts at New Year bell.

Glenn is owner of Imaginative Consulting and Training (ICAT) He designs websites, provides software education, creates web-based training programs and provides a host of other technology services. Glenn loves to cook and is the chef at Chez Ropiequet. He loves to watch movies, especially Sci-Fi, and sports a most unusual M&M’s collection of dispensers, toppers and related items. In addition, his most important role, he makes Lani laugh every day.
